final reflections

Its finally a wrap now and looking back to day 1 i think i’ve nothing to say except that everyone agrees that the experience has been exceptional. For my final post i shall be saying my top 10 lists of experiences, strengths, mistakes/learning points:)) Tune In!

Top #10 Experiences

1. Scouting for a location all the way at Dandedong
2. Cleaning up a hoarder’s apartment
3. One of our really cute and sweet auditionees accidentally feel backwards during the audition and he laughed it off so professionally. Loved him.
4. Gardening and planting fake flowers for production designs
5. Creating my first ever stop motion sequence
6. Sleeping overnight at the edit suites
7. Panicking when the z7 and sound mixer didnt work during my auditions
8. Having practical sessions of Lenny exercises during tutorials
9. Creating props for our stopmotion scenes
10. Being able to pull through all hardships and working as an amazing team:)

Top #10 learning points
1. Always always take stills
2. Take more atmos sounds especially in external environments
3. Have a continuity logger
4. Have a wet weather backup plan
5. Do not rely on the z7’s camera screen to watch whilst shooting as boom shadows might be seen
6. Always keep on schedule and listen to the first AD.
7. Recording wild lines – ensure it is in sync with the scene
8. Always use shotbags or gaffer tape even when the lights seem safe
9. Have a proper equipment checklist
10. Ensure schedules are in line with the cast’s schedules and not the other way round.

I really do have a lot more to learn and film tv 1 is just the beginning. I couldnt be more excited for film tv 2!:))
